Simonstone Tennis Club

The Club was formed in the 1920s and currently has 4 hard courts, a Pavillion and a car park for some 20 cars. The courts are always open for anyone to use, but are reserved at specific times for League Matches, Coaching and Club Social Play. Club members have the use of the Pavillion for changing, toilets and refreshments. Casual players are expected to pay a visitors fee but Juniors, Students, and anyone unemployed or on benefit can play for free. Junior Coaching takes place on a Thursday afternoon under the control of the LTA Coach Christine Conner. Access to the Club is through a five-bar gate off Carleton Avenue and 200 meters up the track across farmland that is part of a pedestrian right-of-way.
